Campus Planning Launches New UC Davis Online Map
UC Davis has a new digital campus map — and it's built to keep getting better. Starting Monday, Aug. 24, the online map most people know is retired, replaced by a completely rebuilt version.
Over the past several months, Campus Planning GIS Specialist Naomi Kalman has rebuilt the campus map using Esri's GIS platform. While the information on the map will look familiar, the experience and capabilities are new. The map is interactive, mobile-friendly, easier to maintain, and provides a foundation for adding new information and functionality over time.
"Our first priority with this project was to modernize the technology behind the map," Kalman said. "This new platform makes it much easier for us to maintain the map and keep pace with changes across campus."
Version 1.0
This launch is considered Version 1.0. It includes the same information that existed on the previous campus map — the goal was to modernize the underlying technology first, then build on it over time. As the new map makes information more visible and easier to explore, Campus Planning staff expect to discover, together with the community, new opportunities to improve the data.

If your website links to the campus map, those links will continue to work without any changes.
